- Jesus is Lord (vv. 29-36)
- Jesus is the owner and master of all things we are simply stewards
- Anyone can be used by God when they respond to the Lord’s need
- Jesus Proclaimed as King (vv. 37-40)
- Restoration begins with coronation
- Any restoring work that God does begins once we declare him King
- Whatever King is on the throne of your heart will determine your course in life
- Jesus Weeps over the City (vv.41-44)
- Jesus is mourning and deeply distraught because so many of his very people have rejected Him
- By rejecting Jesus they brought God’s wrath upon themselves
- Jesus was not happy that this righteous judgement was coming and wept
- Jesus Judges and Restores (vv.45-48)
- The religious system had distanced people from God instead of bringing them close to God
- The religious system had built barriers but Jesus came and built bridges
- Our goal is not to keep people out but to invite people in
