  2. Read Deuteronomy 10:12-22 and Revelation 19:11-16. How do these passages describe God’s control, power, kingship, and sovereignty?
  3. How can you actively seek God’s will in your daily life?
  4. How does God’s sovereignty impact your understanding of suffering and hardship?
  5. Psalm 115:3 says, “Our God is in the heaves; he does all that he pleases.”
    • Have you ever considered that God can do whatever He wants and there are no limitations?
    • In one sense, God is the only one who is “free” to do as He pleases. What does this mean about His sovereignty?
  6. In his sermon on Matthew 20:15, Spurgeon says that there is “no attribute more comforting to His children than that of God’s sovereignty.” In what ways can we find comfort in God’s sovereignty?
  7. Are there areas of your life that you have not surrendered to God? Reflect on those areas now and take a moment to pray that you would live with open hands, not trying to control those aspects of your life yourself but acknowledging God’s control in all areas of life and trusting His sovereign rule.
