Day 3: Justified Freely by Grace and the Cross of Christ

  • Scripture: Romans 3:24-26
  • Reflection: These verses explain that while sin separates people from God, He provided justification through Christ’s sacrifice. The cross demonstrates God’s perfect justice by paying the penalty for sin, and also His love in restoring our relationship with Him. Those in Christ are no longer condemned.
  • Prayer: Express humility for God’s love and the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus. Thank God for the gift of justification and freedom from condemnation. Pray to never take this gift for granted and always live in gratitude for God’s grace.

Choices have consequences, and people will be accountable for how they live in relation to the truth they’ve received.

This points to God’s distributive justice, rewarding right actions. It encourages righteousness and good stewardship, knowing faithfulness will be recognized and rewarded in God’s kingdom.
  • Prayer: Thank your Heavenly Father for the promise of rewards for faithful service. Ask for help to be a diligent and obedient servant, using the gifts and resources given to glorify God’s name and further His kingdom.
