1. Our temptations come for our own evil lusts ^{_{(vv. 19-20)}}

   • Receive the word means to make it your own
   • God’s Word will be hindered if we are angry
   • God’s Word will be hindered in our life if we have sin
   • We are to receive the Word with meekness
3. Doers of the Word ^{_{(vv. 22-25)}}
   • For many Christians, there is a huge gap between the way we live and the Bible
   • The Law of Liberty – when we live God’s way, blessing follows
4. Do Things Differently ^{_{(vv. 26-27)}}
   • It will be seen in our words and speech
   • It will be seen in our service or in our works
   • It will be seen in our walk
