ROMANS 8
- There is no condemnation for those who are in Christ (vs. 1)
- This declaration of no condemnation applies to both your past and future sins
- There is nothing about me that can be revealed that Jesus has not seen and that his blood has not already covered
- There is no condemnation because the law of the Spirit has set us free (vv. 2-4)
- If you are forgiven, you will be changed
- When Jesus forgives your sins, your rise up and walk spiritually
- If you get up tomorrow, will your life be different because the Spirit is inside you
- Are you walking in the flesh or the Spirit? (vv. 5-8)
- We walk in the Spirit by setting our minds on the things of the Spirit
- Set your mind on the things of the Spirit means thinking about the things he thinks, loving what he loves and seeking what he seeks
- Mindset of the flesh:
- Self-Will
- Self-Glory
- Self-Righteousness
- Self-Sufficiency
- Remember that you are in the Spirit (vv. 9-11)
- The Christian life is fellowship with God
- Coming to Christ is a surrender to God
- There is hope even when I feel dead
